At a chicken farm in England called Tweedy, a tragedy of slaves is unfolding. The owner of the farm, Mrs. Tweedy, is greedy and only thinks about making the hens lay more eggs, while Mr. Tweedy watches the hens' every move all day with two wolfhounds. If the hens lay fewer eggs, she might bring about doom at any moment. The hens live in constant fear, worried that misfortune will strike them one day. One hen, Ginger, is smart and brave; she refuses to submit to this slave-like life and is determined to lead everyone to escape from the farm!
