Dreaming of becoming a star, girl Sherrie Christian (Julianne Hough) arrives in Los Angeles, only to have her money stolen by a thief on the street. A chance encounter with boy Drew Boley (Diego Boneta) leads him to offer her help, taking her to work as a waitress at the bar where he works.
