16-year-old boy Zhang Yishan (played by Zhang Yishan) is a Chinese expatriate born in Beijing and raised in Indonesia, and his Chinese is not very fluent. In the era when Jackie Chan's kung fu movies were sweeping the world, Zhang Yishan was no exception, becoming one of Jackie Chan's most dedicated fans. He enrolled in a kung fu school to learn martial arts, and both his dreams and essays revolve around Jackie Chan; his biggest wish is to see his idol in person. One day, Zhang Yishan learns that Jackie Chan is filming at Tanzhe Temple in Beijing. To meet his idol, he unusually decides to return to his grandmother’s house in Beijing. This clever boy does not follow his grandmother's request to visit his grandmother (played by Tian Hua) to learn Chinese; instead, he directly takes a taxi to Tanzhe Temple. However, due to his poor Chinese, he ends up being taken by the driver (played by Wang Xuebing) to Qing Shiguan instead of Tanzhe Temple. Thus, Zhang Yishan embarks on a winding and perilous journey to find Jackie Chan... This film marks Jackie Chan's first investment in a children's film, directed by Jiang Ping, the deputy general manager of China Film Group, featuring performers from four generations of the Chinese film industry.
