"On the journey of life, why is it always a beat behind?" The Yokoyama family, located in a remote small town, leads a peaceful and harmonious life. The father, Kyohei (played by Yoshio Harada), is a retired doctor who constantly worries about the affairs of the town's clinic. The eldest son, Junpei, inherited his father's career but drowned 15 years ago while trying to save a child from drowning. The second son, Ryota (played by Hiroshi Abe), disagrees with his father and insists on becoming an art restorer in another city. Years of hard work result in unemployment, and the struggling Ryota marries Yukari (played by Yui Natsukawa), who has a child. They support each other and continue their lives. On the anniversary of Junpei's death, Ryota and his sister, Chinami (played by YOU), return home with their families. The quiet Yokoyama household becomes lively once again...
