Ling Haoxi (Don Ng 饰) and his wife (Shen Dianxia 饰) have two beautiful daughters and live a happy life. However, Ling's mother is determined to immigrate to Canada and forces her younger daughter Lingling (Chen Shulan 饰) to break up with her passionate boyfriend Bao Youlu (Wu Davi 饰). Upon discovering the truth, Bao Youlu angrily leaves, and that night, the Ling family of four dies from carbon monoxide poisoning. Their souls arrive in the underworld, their desire to immigrate remains unquenched, but they are told they must fix their graves in Canada before they can depart. Meanwhile, their finances are depleted during the immigration preparations. The Ling family is granted a reprieve to temporarily return to life to make money.
