Nurse Lily (Ruth Wilson) is hired to care for the elderly writer Mrs. Bram (Deborah Harry), but during her care, a series of unexplainable events occur, making Lily realize that the house is haunted. Subsequently, Lily starts reading a novel written by Mrs. Bram about ghosts and discovers that these stories are based on true experiences: the original owner of the house was murdered by her husband, and her body was hidden within the walls. Ultimately, Lily is scared to death by the ghost released when the walls are torn down, and shortly after, Mrs. Bram also passes away. A new homeowner then moves into the house, unwittingly becoming the object of another pair of ghosts who silently watch from beyond the walls.
