Vijay (played by Shah Rukh Khan) is a successful young entrepreneur who, by chance, encounters a beautiful flight attendant named Shivani (played by Madhuri Dixit). Shivani's gentleness and kindness deeply attract Vijay and he falls in love. However, just as Vijay is about to propose to Shivani, he discovers that she has already entered into marriage with a pilot named Ashok (played by Deepak Tijori). After losing Shivani, Vijay's life falls into despair. When he thinks he can finally move on from his emotional shadow, Shivani and Ashok return to his life with their lovely daughter. Vijay realizes he is still deeply in love with Shivani and he will do everything possible to approach and pursue her.
