The film depicts the heroic scenes of ten pilots flying a B-17 bomber over German territory to bomb predetermined targets in 1943 during World War II. This energetic group of young men has just completed their 24th flight mission, and after one more flight, they can return home, a long-awaited home is waiting for them. Each of them has dreams of what to do after the war. However, the harsh reality stands before them, with unexpressed tension and fear, leaving them only to silently pray for the blessing of the unknown deities. For this reason, they cherish good fortune above all, believing that a lucky charm or even a lucky rubber band can provide solace to their spirits. After a tense and helpless wait, they finally receive the order to depart, and the flight formation loaded with ammunition breaks through the clouds, approaching the target. The lead aircraft, Memphis Belle, is named by Dennis in honor of the girlfriend he met in Memphis. In the face of terrible weather and thick clouds that obscure the target's confirmation, Dennis risks his life to turn back and confirm the target, in order to protect innocent lives and public facilities like hospitals and schools. The battered plane finally returns, carrying this group of wounded heroes who have bravely completed their mission.
