It is said that Tang Seng (played by Xiao Changshun) and his four disciples traveled across mountains and rivers, enduring countless hardships to journey from the Eastern Tang Dynasty to the West to obtain the true scriptures. One day, the disciples arrived at a dangerous place among lofty mountains. The Great Sage, Sun Wukong (played by Liu Lingtong), suspects that Zhu Bajie (played by Qi Lingtong) has been lazy, so he encourages the master to send Bajie ahead to scout the mountains. Just as the brothers are joking and playfully fighting, they unwittingly catch the attention of a demon who has been monitoring them. This demon resides in the Wave Moon Cave and is a cunning and shape-shifting White Bone Demon. She knows of Sun Wukong's powers, so she disguises herself multiple times to deceive Tang Seng, Bajie, and Sha Seng (played by Fu Machao), thus sowing discord among the disciples and staging the legendary tale of Sun Wukong's three battles with the White Bone Demon! This film is adapted from the story of the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West."
