Conan is a rather ineffectual Hong Kong detective responsible for solving a murder case. During the investigation, Conan is framed and becomes a murder suspect himself. With the help of his girlfriend and his cousin from Shanghai, Conan finally uncovers the truth: the real murderer is his girlfriend's father, Xingguo. Xingguo committed the murder to avoid blackmail.
