A bizarre international metropolis, Tokyo, Japan. In a dimly lit bar, people whisper and laugh amidst the ambiance. In one corner of the bar, a girl named Akiko (played by Takahashi Rina), who is dressed in a way that feels out of place, shows signs of anxiety. She is a university student who sells her smile in exchange for tuition fees. At this moment, she is entangled in a phone call with her suspicious boyfriend (played by Kase Ryo). Today, her grandmother unexpectedly visits, but Akiko hesitates whether to go to the station to see the elderly woman. With her mood already frayed, the work arrangements made by the manager (played by Denden) only amplify her emotional turmoil. As night falls, a disheartened Akiko eventually arrives at the guest’s residence. It is an 84-year-old retired university professor (played by Okuno Takashi), who perhaps summoned the girl because she resembles his deceased wife. Worn out, the girl has no energy to enjoy the fine wines and dishes the old professor has carefully prepared; after a brief conversation, she falls into a deep sleep, and the night passes without further words. The next day, the professor drives the girl back to school, and it feels as if their hearts are still connected...
