Charlie (Eddie Murphy) and Phil (Jeff Garlin) work at a high-end advertising company. Despite their hard work every day, they haven't secured a bright future for themselves and have instead neglected their families and children. An unexpected event causes both Charlie and Phil to lose their jobs, and the sudden abundance of free time makes them realize their remarkable talent for taking care of kids.
