Art collector Adeline (played by Patrick Bauchau) goes on vacation to his friend Daniel's (played by Daniel Pommereulle) seaside villa, where he meets the beautiful girl Heidi (played by Haydée Politoff). Daniel tells Adeline that Heidi is a girl with a very open lifestyle and has many boyfriends of different styles, and Adeline jokingly refers to her as "the woman who collects men." Adeline values a healthy, natural, and restrained lifestyle, and therefore looks down on Heidi's wild behavior. However, he finds himself unintentionally drawn to Heidi, as her every move easily stirs his emotions, and it seems that Heidi also has feelings for him. Unexpectedly, Heidi chooses his friend Daniel, which makes Adeline feel quite uncomfortable. He leaves the villa and returns to his own life but still maintains a tenuous connection with Heidi. In this passionate and romantic city of France, a man and a woman navigate their feelings in a roundabout and secretive manner. Will Adeline become Heidi's next "collectible"?
