The story takes place in Beijing, where Ye Tong (Kong Lin) returns to her long-lost hometown, filled with all her childhood memories. Upon reuniting, her former playmates have all grown up: Wei Dong (Zhang Jiayi), Wei Ping (Ding Jiali), and Lei Bing (Hu Qiang), each bearing the marks of time. At school, Ye Tong meets Peng Wei (Geng Le), the lead singer of a rock band. Peng Wei's free spirit attracts Ye Tong, bringing them closer together. Peng Wei and Wei Dong are old acquaintances with a history of conflict that hasn't faded with time. Now, Lei Bing has fallen into crime, entangling himself further with policeman Wei Dong. Wei Ping tells Ye Tong that she is pregnant and asks for her help with an abortion. The tension between Lei Bing and Wei Dong escalates into violent conflict, leading to Wei Dong being hospitalized and Lei Bing losing his life. Amidst the sadness and pain, Ye Tong understands that the simple times of the past will never return.
