On his dark cheeks, the deep marks of bitterness and resilience unique to a life full of hardships are etched. Farmer Lei Zekuan (played by Andy Lau) rides an old motorcycle across the vast and desolate lands of his homeland. After a long journey of fifteen years, he no longer dares to hope for an end in sight. One day in 1998, his two-year-old son was abducted and has been missing ever since. This event completely changed Old Lei's life; with limited possessions and a suitcase full of missing person posters, he embarked on a journey with no visible endpoint. Few know the suffering he endures along the way. One day, while fixing his motorcycle, Old Lei encounters the handsome young man Zeng Shuai (played by Jing Boran). As if arranged by fate, Zeng Shuai has a similar experience to that of Old Lei's son. Seizing this chance, Zeng Shuai decides to accompany Old Lei on his quest: one searching for his lost son, the other yearning for his hometown. Relatives with indistinct faces may be waiting somewhere unknown...
