Wah Dik (played by Andy Lau) is a small-time gangster who gets thrills from street racing, riding his motorcycle all day. Under duress, he becomes involved in a robbery, and the police suspect him of being on the run. He kidnaps rich girl Jojo (played by Ng Qianlin) to escape, and unexpectedly, despite their starkly different statuses, they quickly fall in love. Jojo defies her family's objections to follow Wah Dik. Later, Wah Dik finds himself being hunted by the gang leader, and the two go on the run together.
