During the reign of Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty, the Fusang Ghost King (played by Zuo Songsheng) appeared in Shijia Town, threatening the human world and taking the beautiful Shi Shi (played by Wang Zuxian) as his beloved concubine. The Ghost King caused countless casualties, provoking the wrath of heaven and humanity. The emperor appointed the righteous military officer Ma Shangfeng (played by Cheng Kui'an) to capture the Ghost King. Just as Ma was troubled, the scribe recommended the skilled Caolu Jushi (played by Lin Zhengying) to help, only to learn that eliminating the Ghost King would require sacrificing his own life. Angrily, Ma returned, and Caolu Jushi devised a plan for Ma Shangfeng to feign death, transforming him into a golden-armored warrior and appointing his disciple (played by Huang Yishan) as his guard. The three of them engaged in a fierce battle with the Ghost King, resulting in the Heavenly Gate opening wide, allowing both good and evil to traverse time and space to the modern era. Here, the three face various strange and interesting encounters. By chance, Caolu Jushi discovers a female doctor named Gigi, who bears a striking resemblance to Shi Shi. The battle between good and evil, which has lasted for hundreds of years, is set to unfold once again...
