The story follows a young boy named Bastian Bux who becomes fascinated with a book titled "The NeverEnding Story." The story draws Bastian Bux deeply into the pages of the book, making him imagine that he is the most important character within it. As the imaginary realm described in the book is gradually consumed by "The Nothing," the queen falls gravely ill and cannot resist it. Therefore, a brave warrior named Atreyu is sent to search for a cure to save the queen. Through Atreyu's quest, Bastian Bux experiences every corner of the fantastical land and meets every character, sharing in Atreyu's joys and setbacks... The reason the imaginary realm is being consumed by "The Nothing" is that it is created from human imagination; when humans stop dreaming and forget those dreams, of course, there is nothing left of the fantasy land. In the end, Bastian Bux discovers that the inhabitants of the imagined world cannot save themselves; only humans can save the fantasy realm, and he must rely on his vivid imagination to restore life to it...
