Psychiatrist Dr. Lawrence goes missing unexpectedly, and no one knows his whereabouts. However, the psychiatric patient Mike seems to hold clues about his disappearance. Dr. Green, the director overwhelmed by other scandals within the hospital, sacrifices his Christmas holiday and leaves his wife and daughter behind to get to the hospital and unravel the mystery of the missing case before it is exposed. He engages in a cat-and-mouse game of psychological puzzles with Mike, a mad yet intelligent patient. Adapted from the playwright Nicolas's stage play "Elephant Song," the genius director Xavier Dolan steps down from directing and collaborates with the equally talented director Charles Binamé. In "Elephant Song," Dolan plays the eccentric yet clever patient Mike, facing off against Bruce Greenwood in a gripping showdown. The two engage in intense interrogations within the confined setting, revealing layers of their hidden pasts as the balance of power shifts.
