Li Ren (played by Andy Lau) lost his parents at a young age and grew up in an orphanage in Thailand. After growing up, Li Ren joined the Thai Air Force. He is still haunted by the death of his parents. When Li Ren was 9 years old, his parents brought him to Thailand with important documents and items, but his father's sworn brother betrayed them and killed his parents. One day, Li Ren unintentionally has an affair with the enemy's mistress, Mona (played by Jenny Wang), and becomes targeted by assassins. In desperation, Li Ren escapes to the United States to seek help from the CIA.
