The scene of the Hong Kong police force being overpowered by the gang led by Yuan (played by Ren Xianqi) was captured by a television crew, shocking the citizens of Hong Kong. To preserve their reputation, over 30,000 officers across the city engaged in the operation to apprehend the criminals. Inspector Heng (played by Zhang Jiahui) tracked Yuan to a building, and just as they were about to act, Deputy Commander Rebecca (played by Chen Huiling) planned to broadcast the entire operation live on television. Heng and the other team members donned miniature cameras and charged into the scene, unaware that another group of robbers was already hiding inside the building, putting them in a perilous situation, while Rebecca insisted on cutting that part of the footage. Yuan, who was holding hostages in the building, sent the footage of the police and gang confrontation recorded on the closed-circuit television to the media, further embarrassing the police. Yuan held hostages and resisted the police, but Heng managed to rescue the hostages. As the escaping Yuan encountered Rebecca, who had never seen Heng with Yuan, she mistakenly thought Yuan was Officer Heng. Yuan then decided to take advantage of the misunderstanding to make his escape.
