On the surface, Zhao Ziyu (played by Winnie) is a lively, cheerful, and talkative girl. In reality, she hides a secret: a strange dream from her childhood that continues to haunt and trouble her, causing her to repeatedly lose her sanity and suffer immensely. This secret is known only to her best friend, Qi Xueer (played by Yang Kaidi). To help Zhao Ziyu, Xueer seeks out psychology professor Bai Shuang (played by Du Yuming). In a terrible accident, Lin Mu (played by Lu Lingjie) loses his legs and must spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. This sudden disaster plunges Lin Mu into depression, unable to escape the pain and regret. Lin Mu has a crush on Zhao Ziyu, but considering his circumstances, he chooses to bury this feeling deep within himself. Lin Mu's aunt observes everything, and therefore seeks out Zhao Ziyu, hoping that she can help Lin Mu regain his confidence in life.
