One night in 1957, Dr. Ted Lewis (played by Eric McGormack), an astronomer living in a small town in California's Mojave Desert, is preparing a barbecue dinner to celebrate his wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Lana (played by Jody Thompson), when he suddenly spots a meteor falling from the sky and crashing down on a nearby hillside. The town's waitress, Tammy (played by Jenni Baird), also witnesses the meteor passing by. Ted goes to investigate and discovers that the "meteor" is actually an alien spacecraft, and he encounters the alien "Epp." With Tammy's help, Epp desperately searches for the elusive one-eyed alien monster "Gotta," but they cannot keep up with Gotta's man-eating speed. Even more terrifying, once Gotta starts to replicate at an exponential rate, it will put the entire Earth in irrevocable danger.
