Qiu Qiu's parents divorced when she was six years old. Her mother, Pan Yulan, formed a new family with a man named Guan Zhengguang, while Qiu Qiu lived with her father, A Man. Missing her mother greatly, A Man took Qiu Qiu to Pan Yulan's home, but unexpectedly, Guan Zhengguang returned home, leading to a heated argument between him and Pan Yulan over Qiu Qiu. Understanding that she was at the center of the conflict, Qiu Qiu sadly left her mother’s house. Yang Chunniang in the factory fell in love with the honest and hardworking A Man, and they eventually got together. A Man concealed the fact that Qiu Qiu was his daughter, but Qiu Qiu inadvertently discovered the truth. Heartbroken and disappointed, she chose to run away from home. Qiu Qiu was sent to the countryside to be cared for by A Man's elderly parents, but the two elderly people were too old to provide proper support, so Qiu Qiu had to return to Pan Yulan's house again.
