In 1981, 9-year-old Kate lives in a large family in the Irish countryside, often overlooked due to her many siblings. With her mother about to give birth again, Kate is temporarily sent to stay with distant relatives for the summer. She unexpectedly adapts to this environment, where a gentle couple teaches her to connect with nature and reconcile with her quiet self.
