The film was nominated for the Horizons Award at the 75th Venice Film Festival (2018). Uruguay's entry for the Oscars this year. Based on a true story from the Uruguayan military dictatorship period. In 1973, Uruguay was ruled by a military dictatorship. On a fall night, three Tupamaro prisoners were taken from their cells during a secret military operation. The order was precise: “Since we cannot kill them, let us drive them mad.” These three individuals would be held in solitary confinement for twelve years. Among them was José Mujica, who later became the President of Uruguay.
