Xiao Dong (Huang Yuchong) and Du Juan (Chen Xuanyu) are a young couple living in an urban village, facing some bumps in their life. The local amusement park has closed down and turned into a food city. To rebuild a small stage in the food city, Xiao Dong stays behind to work as a lakeside security guard for a time. During his time there, he meets a little girl named Yuan Yuan, who comes to release fish. Her arrival brings Xiao Dong a bit of warmth in his monotonous job. Du Juan is a floral designer working at a flower shop, leading a somewhat dull life. She often goes to a client, Mr. Long's house to arrange flowers and is captivated by his mysterious and elegant demeanor. Mr. Long seems to always be hiding something, which brings Du Juan a unique charm, leading her to feel more anticipation and curiosity in her work. As the small stage's reconstruction fails, Xiao Dong is dismissed and returns home to help Du Juan manage the "Clown Flower Shop." To attract customers, Du Juan has Xiao Dong dress up as a clown to deliver flowers. During the delivery process, Xiao Dong occasionally visits Yuan Yuan. It turns out that Yuan Yuan used to be a dancer in a theater troupe but left the stage due to relationship issues.
