Wai-tung (played by Zhao Wenzhuan) is a successful gay man living happily with his boyfriend Simon (played by Mitchell Lichtenstein) in the United States. His troubles stem from having to deal with his parents (played by Lang Hsiung and Gwei Ya-Li) in Taipei, who continually pressure him to get married. Wai-tung is forced to write a letter claiming he will marry in the U.S., but his parents want to witness it in person. Reluctantly, he enlists the help of a struggling female artist from Shanghai, Wei-Wei (played by Jin Sumei), to fake a marriage and escape the situation. His parents are quite satisfied with Wei-Wei, but dissatisfied with Wai-tung's hasty attitude. In order to quickly return to Taipei to please his parents, Wai-tung works desperately to pull every trick he can. However, plans go awry, and the return date of his parents keeps being delayed, putting a strain on his relationship with Simon, while Wei-Wei unexpectedly becomes pregnant with his child. It seems that in the face of his powerful traditional parents, Wai-tung can only choose to act as a "normally behaving" man.
