Jin Mei (played by Wen Mingna) recalls a story about goose feathers that her mother Su Yuan (played by Qiao Zheng) used to tell. After Su Yuan passes away, her friends Lin Dong (played by Zhou Caiqin), An Mei (played by Lu Yan), and Ying Ying (played by Ruan Lansi) reach out to Su Yuan's long-lost twin daughters. Jin Mei decides to travel across the ocean to meet her sisters, and everyone gathers at Su Yuan's home for her farewell. During the gathering, Lin Dong, Ying Ying, and An Mei each reminisce about being abandoned by their mother (played by Xi Meijuan), losing their children, and waiting for their mother (played by Wu Junmei), while the marriages of their daughters, Zhong Wei Fuli (played by Fu Tian Tan Ling), Lina (played by Lauren Tom), and Rose (played by Zhao Jialing), are also deeply influenced by their respective mothers. After the gathering, Jin Mei's father (played by Ji Chaoli) reveals the truth behind Su Yuan abandoning the twins...
