The assassin Yat Chuen (Chow Yun-fat) accidentally injures the singer Jennie (Sally Yeh) during an assassination mission, rendering her close to blindness. Feeling guilty, he begins to secretly protect and help Jennie, hoping to raise money for her treatment abroad before she loses her sight completely.
