Like many young people of this era, Sam (Chris Pine) feels constrained by financial limitations. Just when he is at a loss, the death of his estranged father gives him new hope. It turns out, Sam's father was a famous record producer, and his death means Sam is about to inherit a substantial fortune. However, what Sam cannot understand is that according to his father's will, he must give $150,000 to his sister Frankie (Elizabeth Banks), whom he has never met. To obtain the full inheritance, Sam decides to approach Frankie under a false identity to gather evidence against her. Unexpectedly, as he spends time with her, Frankie's kindness and integrity gradually touch Sam, and he finds a long-lost warmth of family in her.
