The 30-something housewife Nagai Kokon (played by Manami Konishi) is feeling extremely frustrated. Her husband, Fan Peng (played by Yoshinori Okada), fancies himself a novelist, yet he is all talk and no action, lazy, and lives off others. In a fit of anger, Kokon leaves a divorce agreement and takes her young daughter Nao back to her family home in Yokohama. Without a source of income, Kokon begins to worry about her daughter’s future, so she starts looking for jobs but repeatedly hits setbacks. During this time, she reunites with her old school friend Tamagawa Rika (played by Sayaka Yamaguchi) and her first love Iguchi Takeo (played by Jun Murakami), and the innocent feelings of their youth are rekindled. However, Fan Peng's persistent entanglement and the uncertainty of her future leave Kokon deeply troubled... This film is adapted from the manga of the same name by Japanese cartoonist Irie Yoshikazu and won the Best Actress Award at the 2010 Mainichi Film Awards; it also received Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor awards at the 2010 Yokohama Film Festival.
