Five friends—Zhe Gu Cai (played by Sammo Hung), Hua Qi Shen (played by Ching Siu-tung), Xi Niu Pi (played by Fung Shui Fan), Da Sheng Di (played by Ng Yiu-Han), and Luo Han Guo (played by Eric Tsang)—have recently been feeling extremely bored. Each of them has boasted about picking up girls, but they have all come up empty-handed. In a moment of utter boredom, the Five Lucky Stars decide to go on a trip to an outlying island. They encounter continuous troubles along the way but enjoy themselves nonetheless. Just as they are having fun at night, they hear strange noises coming from an empty mansion next door. Da Sheng Di and Zhe Gu Cai venture over, only to find a male and a female ghost. The next day, they report it to Ba Wang Hua (played by Wu Hui Zhong), who, although skeptical of the Five Lucky Stars’ claims, sends four beautiful female police officers, including Liang Lai Di, to investigate. Originally intending to play pranks on the female officers at the haunted house, things take a turn as Liang gets possessed by the male ghost (played by Chan Bak Cheung). The male ghost was brutally murdered in his lifetime, losing his beloved girlfriend, and has been trapped by a greedy female ghost after his death. The five friends are determined to help him fulfill his wishes...
