Ultimately, the fugitive manages to get away, and the big guy is mistaken for a suspect and taken back to the police station. In fact, the big guy was previously a martial monk in mainland China. After the tragic death of his friend Xiaocui, he was overwhelmed with grief and accidentally killed a bird while meditating under a tree. He sat in meditation for seven days and nights, gaining the ability to see causality — when he sees the results, he can also see the causes. He discovered that Xiaocui’s death was a result of causality, as was killing the bird. Unable to peacefully accept all of this, he returned to the secular world. This time, he sees Li Fengyi and witnesses the Japanese army committing murder, realizing her karma is heavy and she will encounter misfortune. To help this kind-hearted policewoman, he begins to secretly assist her, solving unusual cases and rescuing her from danger, hoping to help her cleanse her karma…
