Law Enforcer, a movie and TV series title, has both Western and Hong Kong versions. The Hong Kong version of Law Enforcer takes place in early 1980s Hong Kong. Undercover detectives Rong Tianpeng and Li Wei are fiercely against evil, and they begin investigating a case involving a conspiracy to bring fifty-one illegal immigrants into Hong Kong. They identify three suspects, but the mastermind Chen Zhendong is a prominent figure in society, wealthy and powerful. He hires killer Wu Tao to eliminate the prosecution's witnesses and engages lawyer Song Wannian to exonerate the suspects. The police find Wu Tao's murder weapon, and Chen Zhendong uses money to have someone take the blame for Wu Tao while also bribing Inspector Yan Ping and Uncle. Rong and Li work hard to trace the evidence and eventually expose Yan Ping's crimes. At this point, Wu Tao is ordered to kill Uncle and Rong Tianpeng, while framing Li Wei. In a fit of rage, Li Wei kills Wu Tao and ultimately confronts Chen Zhendong.
