The leader of the Qinglong Hall, An Rulong, relies on his numbers to act tyrannically, plundering and killing, leaving the Shandong region in relentless suffering. Thus, the "Shandong Outlaws" make people's souls tremble at their mention. The wandering hero Yan Tieyi returns to the town of Luzhai to find his girlfriend, Tie Lingling. Upon seeing the one-legged wolf, the deputy leader of the Shandong Outlaws, along with Yanluo Dao and Ma Dahai, Yan, driven by a sense of righteousness, kills Du and Yan, with only Ma escaping unharmed. The escort Sun Jian delivers silver to the town and stays overnight. At night, Yan discovers that Lingling has returned home; after a long separation, she tells him about seeking refuge with her mother in the mountains, who has fallen ill, prompting her to risk going home to retrieve bedding. Yan escorts Lingling out of the village, but on the way, she is taken by Ma. Yan returns to the town and informs Sun that he wants to borrow escort silver to lure the outlaws. Enraged, Sun battles with Yan but is subdued. With no other choice, Sun agrees. An leads his men to demand Lingling, invading the village and stealing the escort cart. The silver had already been secretly replaced at the tavern overnight. Yan inquires about An's resting place and goes alone to challenge him. Using his lightness skills to gain the upper hand, Yan kills An in an abandoned temple, eliminating the threat for the people and marrying Lingling to share in peace.
