The unfortunate professional Go player Song Tae-sik (played by Jung Woo-sung) is asked by his gambling-obsessed brother to help him cheat in a Go gambling match. As a result, they are discovered by the opponents, leading to a brutal beating of his brother and his tragic death. Tae-sik is also thrown into prison. While in jail, he uses his Go skills to gain many benefits from the prison head, and he trains under a mysterious master and a gang leader to develop exceptional Go skills and a strong physique.
