On a snowy slope, the old milkman Kim Wan-seok (played by Lee Soon-jae) encounters the old woman Song Yi-bin (played by Yoon Seung-kyung), who collects waste. Both of them have carried difficult lives in their earlier years: Wan-seok lived a carefree life in his youth, only to feel deep guilt after his wife passed away; Yi-bin was abandoned by the man she loved in a corner of the city and never married after losing her child. The two elders meet in the quiet streets every early morning, and their lonely and苦难生活 brings them gradually closer. With the help of Wan-seok's granddaughter, Yeon-ah (played by Song Ji-hyo), a feeling akin to first love blossoms in their hearts. Wan-seok’s friend, parking lot manager Jang Jun-pyeong (played by Song Jae-ho), has been patiently caring for his wife who suffers from dementia. One day, Jun-pyeong learns that his wife has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Witnessing her painful episodes, he is heartbroken and makes a sorrowful decision... The film is adapted from the famous webtoon of the same name by South Korean cartoonist Kang Cho, and the similarly titled stage play has also received acclaim.
