Adapted from the autobiography "The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind" by William Kamkwamba, it tells a life-changing story: Kamkwamba himself, at the age of 13, built a windmill using scraps of metal, old bicycle parts, and wood to save his village. 13-year-old Kamkwamba was expelled from school for not being able to pay the $80 annual tuition fee. Passionate about learning, he snuck into the school library and found a way to rescue his famine-stricken village: he crafted a makeshift but functional windmill using his father's bicycle frame, providing much-needed electricity to the area without being affected by government power cuts. This invention also led to Kamkwamba receiving sponsorship from a professor in Malawi, obtaining a scholarship, and engaging in in-depth exchanges with other inventors across the African continent.
