Kiss the Ground (abbreviated) is a documentary that explores the first viable, low-cost way to reverse climate change through soil. If managed properly, soil (also known as "dirt") has the potential to sequester a significant portion of the carbon dioxide that humanity has emitted into the atmosphere. There’s just one problem: our modern, industrialized, monoculture-based agriculture is killing the microorganisms in the soil that are crucial for carbon sequestration (“biomediation”). But there is hope. A radical coalition of scientists, farmers, ranchers, activists, and government agencies is coming together to launch a new agricultural movement globally known as "regenerative agriculture," which can increase soil longevity, store water, and sequester carbon dioxide.
