This film is adapted from the true story of the search and rescue dog "Ding Dang," telling the tale of firefighter Yang Qi, who is forced to retire early due to injury during an earthquake rescue and has to part ways with his beloved rescue dog "Ding Dang" whom he has trained for many years. Years later, "Ding Dang" manages to escape from the rehabilitation base and, now a stray dog, exhausts its life searching for its original handler, Yang Qi, in a touching story.
