Harry Potter is an orphan who was raised by his aunt and faced bullying throughout his childhood. However, on his 11th birthday, he unexpectedly received an acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He learned from Hagrid, the giant sent by the school to pick him up, that it was a magical academy and discovered his true heritage: both of Harry's parents were great wizards who sacrificed themselves in the battle against Voldemort, leaving Harry as the only survivor. Upon entering Hogwarts, Harry displayed extraordinary talent in flying and was recommended by Professor McGonagall to join the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
