The film revolves around three boxers from different backgrounds. Akinobu Matoi (played by Mirai Moriyama), after experiencing the peak of his professional career, falls into the ranks of a washed-up boxer, often seen as a "soft persimmon" to boost others’ confidence. He loses himself and even considers giving up boxing, but after hitting rock bottom, he awakens to reality and ultimately returns to the ring to seek the meaning of life; Ryota Omura (played by Takumi Kitamura) is a young boxer carrying secrets. Abandoned by his parents in childhood, he ventures onto a rebellious path, but through boxing, finds a new lease on life, becoming an unstoppable force in the ring; Shun Miyauchi (played by Ryo Katsuji) is a "star kid" comedian. Under his father's doubts, he becomes lost and struggles to find his place. He participates in a boxing competition for a television show project, attempting to truly prove himself and win through boxing while hiding behind a mask of jokes and smiles. The main focus of "Loser: Survival" is the ultimate showdown between Akinobu Matoi and Ryota Omura. After finishing a match with Shun Miyauchi, Akinobu faces the choice of retirement once again, meanwhile, the determined newcomer Ryota, eager to shine in the boxing ring, suffers an injury due to an accident, putting his fledgling boxing career in unprecedented jeopardy. Carrying their respective stories, the two begin daily training for their final confrontation. On the ultimate boxing stage, both push themselves to their limits, radiating a dazzling light.
