Young woman Luo Jin suffers from depression after her fiancé goes missing. Heartbroken, she must also prepare for the university entrance exam. If she fails, her father will force her to marry. If she succeeds, she may be able to live a freer life and not follow in her sister Xilan's footsteps. Xilan's marriage is unhappy; her conservative husband demands she only be a devoted housewife.
