After retiring, Master Chef Lao Zhu (lang xiong), the last remaining master of Taiwanese Chinese cuisine, gradually experiences the many awkward aspects of old age: the sumptuous dishes he painstakingly prepares every Sunday fail to attract his three daughters (Yang Guimei, Wu Qianlian, Wang Yuwen) to the dining table, as they have grown up and have many things that they consider more important than having dinner with their father; the sudden passing of a long-time friend has left a gap in his friendships; and the loss of taste, which is most crucial for a chef, pushes him to the lowest point in his life. The three daughters are each busy with their own lives, but they are also concerned about Lao Zhu's life in his later years and are planning to find him a companion. However, they did not expect that Lao Zhu had already quietly embarked on a "twilight love." After the initial surprise, the second daughter, Jia Qian, who has inherited her father's culinary talent, gains a new understanding of him and their relationship based on her own life experiences. The greater surprise for Lao Zhu is yet to come.
