He brings her ashes, as she loved this hot spring during her lifetime and repeatedly mentioned its soothing waters before passing. With Tora's help, they hold a memorial service for the deceased at the inn. The young man's name is Saburo, a shy and introverted person who develops feelings for a female department store employee named Akiko, who is on the trip with him. When parting, he expresses his desire to date her. However, Akiko is indifferent to his advances, prompting him to seek Tora's assistance in bridging the gap. Tora readily agrees to help. Tora scouts for Akiko to communicate with her sincerely, but she still refuses. To bring the two young people together, the Gin-ya family organizes a gathering, allowing them to encounter each other and finally share their feelings.
