After the massacre in the previous installment, Jason and the bodies of ten young people are collected by the police. However, in the hospital, Jason wakes up again and kills the night shift staff, disappearing without a trace... Paul, Sara (played by Barbara Howard), and four other young people rent a cabin in the woods for a vacation. Next door live Tommy, Liz, and their mother. Paul and his friends are swimming in Crystal Lake, completely unaware of the bloody story that took place here. Tommy and Liz meet a young man named Rob (played by Erich Anderson), who claims to be a bear hunter, after their car breaks down. After visiting Tommy’s family, Rob sets up camp in the forest. As night falls, Sara and her friends are partying in the cabin with some new acquaintances. Jason returns to start his usual night-time hunting.
