The classical music composer Cardo (played by Enrico Lo Verso) castrates his brother Farinelli (played by Stefano Dionisi) during his childhood to preserve his voice from fading as he grows up, making Farinelli a great singer. The fate of the two brothers becomes intertwined as they agree to share everything—music, honor, and women. Farinelli's enchanting voice and innocent charm captivate many women, while Cardo shares a single body with his brother and controls the naive Farinelli in both love and career. Eventually, one day, upon discovering the truth, Farinelli is heartbroken and cannot forgive his brother for what he has done, leading to a rift between them. When a solar eclipse arrives, Cardo attempts suicide by cutting his wrist but survives. Awakening, he finally receives Farinelli's forgiveness, and as a compensation for his past actions, he leaves a child in his brother's lover, Alice's womb, before quietly departing.
