Elliott (played by Jeremy Allen White) is a young and vibrant New Yorker who has not faced any major setbacks in his life during the first 23 years, living a happy and carefree life. By chance, he encounters a woman named Mia (played by Maika Monroe), and a passionate spark ignites between them. One day, Elliott is diagnosed by a doctor with a malignant tumor and given a limited time to live, which plunges him from paradise into hell. Fortunately, throughout the painful treatment process, the kind and gentle Mia steadfastly accompanies and comforts him, providing him with the confidence and strength to fight against the illness. Gradually, Elliott learns how to coexist with his condition, but at the same time, his relationship with Mia begins to diverge.
