In her old age, Margaret Thatcher (played by Meryl Streep) suffers from dementia, often switching between illusions and memories. She feels that her deeply loved husband is always by her side, when in fact he has long passed away. As the daughter of a grocer, her humble beginnings often subjected her to scorn. However, after listening to a Conservative Party speech, she solidified her political beliefs and earned a place at Oxford University. Although she lost an election for a parliamentary seat, she found true love, which accompanied her and strengthened her resolve to pursue a political career. From there, she gradually rose to the position of leader of the Conservative Party. Eventually, the Conservatives won a landslide victory in the elections, and she became the first female Prime Minister in British history, forming her own cabinet. Facing the complex domestic and international situation, her advocated free market policies faced much criticism, but she used her exceptional wisdom and remarkable endurance to overcome a situation where her allies turned against her.
